taste asks
for a refined experience.

Situated in the iconic ‘Geozavod’ edifice in the very heart of Belgrade’s old town, Salon 1905 offers a truly one-of-a-kind fine dining experience.

The turn-of-the-century landmark building is a masterpiece of mixed Baroque and Art Nouveau architecture, with a spectacular interior wrapped in glistening brass, marble and gold.

Our locally-sourced, slow cooked pork leg smoked on beech wood is back on the menu, along with a “Welcome to Serbia” six-course special and a number of premium additions sending your tastebuds to heaven and back. We recommend you book your table in advance.

The Kitchen

We serve the real thing. Finest gourmet cuisine, using only fresh high-quality ingredients for each one of our dishes. Our kitchen is known for keeping the recipes simple yet powerful. The team’s vast international experience in the gourmet industry adds an extra layer of class to your experience every time. We advise you to sit back and relax, and let the house do the magic. Reinvention is what keeps the classics alive.

Head chef

After several years of honing his skills in restaurants in Mediterranean Italy and Greece, David Simunic returned to Serbia, bringing talent and experience to the table. A former Architecture student, he combines his love for art and creativity with the passion for great food, letting the ideas of craftsmanship and engineering be his guiding principles inside the kitchen. Since becoming Salon 1905’s head chef, David has been reinventing the Belgrade fine dining experience, time and again, focusing on Serbian traditional gourmet recipes that bear his signature touch.

Restaurant & Bar

You step inside the breathtaking building reminiscent of the finest Viennese and Parisian traditions, and you immediately feel at home. With all the opulence inside 1905, there is a sense of cosiness and intimacy to it, and the style is tasteful and refined. Just like our food. If you’re looking to unwind after your dinner, our massive oak bar makes an ideal spot for a late night chill. Open until 2 a.m.

Our wine list is a story that guides you through the geographical history of the Serbian region. Each bottle is hand picked to pair our menu or compliment a certain dish. The same goes for the international part of our list. French, Italian and New World wines are carefully selected to fulfil our guests’ high expectations. We love what we do and we do it with care, striving for excellence every part of the way.

Spice up your weekend night-out with the smoothest jazz in town. Every Friday evening we got solo jazz piano accompaniment, Keith Jarret style, while on Saturday nights, our live trio (upright bass, drums and piano) takes you through a classy selection of standards, from Django to Chet, to keep your evening in full swing.

Serbian cuisine is a dynamic fusion of different cultures that reflect the country’s rich heritage, which makes it ideal for creative innovations. With a premium selection of organic ingredients, our brand new tasting menu is made to evoke the authentic flavour of long forgotten times, reinventing traditional Balkan dinner staples in an eclectic mix of unique palates, aromas and textures.
